Rosie RIEBL, PIANO

Born in Melbourne on April 12th, 1989, Rosie began her Piano studies at age six with Sonny Chua. In 2000 she began lessons with Frank Wibaut, who was at the time head of the Australian National Academy of Music, visiting from his position as Head of the Royal Academy of Music in London. Rosie was his only private student here in Australia. After Professor Wibaut's departure in 2003, Rosie studied with Rita Reichman, currently Head of Keyboard at the National Academy of Music in Melbourne.
Rosie left for Vienna in August 2004 to further her instrumental and musical education. She studied at the University of Vienna (Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien) under Professor Heinz Medijmorec, partook in a demanding instrumental routine and completed a wide range of repertoire as well as preparation for a number of successful public performances.
Rosie performed with her uncle, Professor Thomas Riebl (Mozarteum - Salzburg) at various venues, including ‘Schloss Mirabell' in Salzburg and the "Bösendorfer Saal' in Vienna, House concert Altmann - a noted salon in Vienna. She also participated in a Master course given by Professor Karl.H Kämmerling in Lindau (Germany) and in Bückeburg.
