Lucy WANG, PIANO

Lucy Wang has been an ANAM Academy Musician since 2006, studying with Head of Piano Rita Reichman.  She previously read Arts, Law and Music at the University of Melbourne, where she had studied piano with Glenn Riddle since 2002.  In that year, she gained her LMusA with distinction, and was subsequently awarded the 2003 VMTA Kault Prize for the Most Outstanding Diploma Candidate.  Lucy Wang has won numerous prizes in various competitions and eisteddfods, and in 2005 was awarded the National Pharmacies Piano Concerto Award, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 3 with the Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra.  Most recently, she won the Recital section of the Dandenong Festival of Art and Music for Youth.  During her time at ANAM, Lucy Wang has received lessons and participated in masterclasses with world renowned pianists including Gary Graffman, Boris Berman, Dimitry Alexeev and Ignat Solzhenitsyn. 

She has also developed a keen interest in the harpsichord and is currently receiving lessons from harpsichordist Ann Morgan.
