


In 2007 Amelia Coleman is an ANAM Academy Musician. She began music lessons aged three, and has played a range of instruments including piano, harpsichord, violin, cello and oboe. She completed the International Baccalaureate at Wesley College Melbourne in 2002 whilst holding both music and academic scholarships, and went on to study at the Victorian College of the Arts, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in 2006. As an orchestral musician, Amelia Coleman has appeared as Principal Oboe and Cor Anglais with the Melbourne Youth Orchestra, and has participated in masterclasses led by Diana Doherty, Jacques Tys, Neil Black and Jeffery Crellin.
She has performed with the Australian Classical Players as soloist in Aaron Copland’s Quiet City.
