A number of charitable trusts and foundations are partnering with ANAM to extend the scope and ambition of our program, and enable ANAM's musicians to participate fully in the busy schedule of inspiring performance training opportunities.
Angior Family Foundation – ANAM Masterclasses
With support from the Angior Family Foundation and working with other presenting arts organisations, ANAM runs a series of masterclasses for our students, allowing them to engage with the best local and international pedagogues and performers in order to improve their music in performance.
Besen Family Foundation – ANAM Resident Composer
The Besen Family Foundation is supporting the position of ANAM Resident Composer in 2014, which sees the return of Brett Dean to ANAM. Helen Macpherson Smith Trust – ANAM Health and Wellbeing Program
ANAM has been generously supported by the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust for the development and implementation of our Health and Wellbeing program, a unique melding of physical and mental health and wellbeing training for musical education. The program will be guided by leading experts in their fields, including performance psychologists, musician health and injury provention and treatment practitioners and alternate therapies.
Hugh DT Williamson Foundation – ANAM Percussion Studio
Support from the Hugh DT Williamson Foundation over three years has enabled ANAM to outfit our percussion studio - established in 2013 - with the highest quality and best array of percussive instruments to be found in any training institution in Australia. This allows our students to train on instruments of the calibre that they will encounter in the professional world, and better prepares them for their musical careers.
Ian Potter Foundation – ANAM Orchestra
The Ian Potter Foundation is supporting the development of the ANAM Orchestra, a core aspect of the ANAM performance training program.
Minderoo Foundation – ANAM Percussion Studio and Student Support
Generous support from the Minderoo Foundation has also enabled the fit-out of ANAM's percussion studio with the best calibre instruments for use in a training setting in Australia. The Foundation is also supporting two ANAM students from Western Australia as they engage in ANAM's unique training program.
Newsboys Foundation – Community ANAMates Memberships
ANAM has joined with the Newsboys Foundation in the provision of ANAMates memberships for disadvantaged young people so that they may build self-confidence and realise their potential by experiencing ANAM's performances.
Robert Salzer Foundation – The Robert Salzer Library
The Robert Salzer Foundation has joined with ANAM to support the Academy's music resource library. The Robert Salzer Library will ensure that ANAM students have access to a vast array of musical scores, reference materials, repertoire recordings and current music publications, vitally important to their music training program.
