Thibaud Pavlovic-Hobba

Thibaud, born in tasmania,  began playing the violin after receiving it for his fifth birthday present. He has schooled both in Australia and france.

In 2003 he has performed  at the FIMU Festival in France.He also performed at the Huntington festival and in 2011 performed at Quartetthaus with ANAM faculty member Howard Penny.  He won the ANAM chamber music competition (2011) and has been selected as an ACO emerging artist for 2012.

Thibaud is a casual violinist for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and in 2011 was concertmaster of the Alexander orchestra at AYO National Music Camp. He has received chamber music tutorials and masterclasses from the Eggner trio and Pekka Kuusisto.

Thibaud received the DJ Motors string scholarship and the Vice Chancellor string scholarship for entrance to the conservatorium of Tasmania which he completed by the age of 19. He is now in his third year at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) under Bill Hennessy. Previous teachers include Peter Tanfield, Edwin Paling and Paul Wright.
